MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
After a fire severely damaged the 100-year-old Diocesan House, the headquarters of the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee, WPA was engaged to plan a complete restoration of the historic structure. The objective was to preserve as much of the original architectural character of the building as possible, while updating mechanical, electrical and data systems to meet current needs and comply with modern building codes. A new roof and new administrative offices were added, finishes were carefully restored, and an ADA accessible elevator was installed.
