MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
This was a project that included the programming, design, documentation,
bidding and contract administration on a 225,000 square foot investment
office building, a 1,500 car parking garage and all the related site
improvements and landscape areas. Louis Pounders was the project
architect responsible for the project management, project design and
consultant coordination on the project.
The project encompasses an eight story building sited on the corner of Poplar and Ridgeway in East Memphis. The building was set back from the street to preserve several large trees and to create a landscaped front yard as a setting. The main facade was curved to enhance the relationship between this large structure and the two streets.
The parking garage was located behind the building to minimize its impact on the site plan. The service yard, truck dock and mechanical cooling towers were also concealed from view.
